Even low levels of phosphate can cause problems in marine aquariums especially reef aquariums where coral growth can be affected. Stunted coral growth and the presence of unwanted algae is commonly an indicator of excessive phosphate in the water. Phosphate is a consequence of fish waste and while it is essential for life, too much is detrimental.

NT Labs Marine Phosphate is a fast-acting, highly effective, and rapidly removes phosphate from the water. It is designed to be placed inside sump, external canister and some internal power filters.

Dosage & total treatment volume:

• IMPORTANT: read instructions before use.
• Check PO₄ levels using a Marine Lab Phosphate test kit.
• Place in an NT Labs Marine Filter Media Bag and rinse before use.
• If the phosphate level starts to increase after a period of use, it is an indicator that media is exhausted and needs replacing. This media is not reusable.

Usage tips:

• Check your aquarium water quality before use (for ammonia, nitrite, pH etc).
• Keep skimmers and UV filtration switched on if present.
• Use every time you conduct a partial water change or detect a high phosphate level.
• Do not use in fluidised filters.
