This blocks out phosphate, (which is one of the main food sources of algae). If there is a high level in your aquarium, this could be down to over feeding, not removing uneaten food, or even a high level in your water supply.

Before use, it is advisable to test your water for phosphate. Remove as much algae as possible, carry out a 25% water change and clean your filter. This will make the task easier and more effective for Ciano Water Algae.

If the algae problem persists, retreat after 15 days. After treatment, we recommend giving your filter a boost with Ciano Bio-Bact.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

• Remove carbon and any other chemical adsorbing media from your filter before use. Failure to do so will reduce the effectiveness of the treatment.

If you are having problems with algae in your aquarium, it is worth following these few tips:

• Make sure your aquarium is not positioned in direct sunlight.
• Reduce the time that the aquarium light is switched on, not more than 8-10 hours is recommended.
• Add some algae eating fish, which you will find many different species in your local aquatic store.
