Eheim Professionel 5e 350 External Filter

The EHEIM professionel 5e has been developed for aquarists to meet the most demanding criteria for comfort and quality. In addition, there is the customary EHEIM smoothness, impeccable workmanship, these filters are made with high-quality materials, and guarantee total reliability. 

Along with being used in the home, they are great for environments such as office and business installations. The clever construction and allows the electronic flow control to be constant and the cleaning intervals for the biological filter material to be considerably extended. 

They have been built with high-end technology, integrated Wi-Fi function, and wireless control (for use via smartphone, tablet, or PC/MAC). 

 The individual settings and functions include: 

• output control:
   Gradual increase of the water flow. The maximum output far exceeds that of conventional filters.
• constant flow:
   The electronics recognize increasing contamination in the filter and automatically adjusts to the output you have set. This guarantees permanently constant flow rates and long service lives.
• pulse mode:
   The electronically controlled alternating current ensures near-natural flow conditions in the aquarium that are constantly changing.
• bio mode (sun / moon):
   change between 2 adjustable flow rates.
• service indicator:
   Constant monitoring of the cleaning interval. Cleaning instructions are automatically sent to a stored e-mail address. 
• auto air out: Air
   accumulations under the filter head are detected and automatically diverted by an electronic program.
• electronic error indicator:
   Permanent electronic system monitoring. A program will start which will automatically try to eliminate the causes of errors.
• WLAN (Wifi) off:
   Optionally, the integrated WLAN function (Wifi) can be deactivated after a one-time configuration. The filter can still be operated without WLAN. To be able to use the functions again, the WLAN function must be reactivated.
• In addition, the professionel 5e can be linked to other devices - e.g., with the Eheim lighting control LEDcontrol +.

 Filter function (Xtender):

• This is to be used in emergencies for when immediate filter maintenance cannot take place.
• If the filter media is dirty and the water flow decreases, you can adjust the Xtender control knob to allow water to continue to circulate. You do not have to intervene immediately, and you gain a few days before the next cleaning of the filter media. The biological filtering (detoxification) is unaffected by the diverted water flow.
