Betta Tonic Salts are a great mild conditioner and antiseptic for use in freshwater aquariums. They help to control many diseases including combating bacterial infections, aiding the healing from open wounds, controlling swim-bladder problems in Goldfishes and generally improve fish health. Can be used as a supportive when using some disease treatments.

Usage:
- It is important to dissolve the salt before adding it to the aquarium, raw salt will burn the fish’s skin.
- For combating fungus, day 1 add 1 teaspoon per 5 litre of water which is ideal for treating mild cases of bacterial and fungal infections. Keep the fish in the salt solution for 2 to 5 days, and then increase the concentration if there is no improvement.
- If there is no improvement after 5 days increase the concentration to by adding another 1 teaspoon per 5 litre of water this should mean the salt in the water is at a level it can treat a wide range of illnesses.
- If the tonic salt has cured your fish of the fungus, then a water change needs to happen to reduce the level of salt in your tank as tonic salt does not evaporate or get filtered out.
- Use with some disease treatments for eradicating fin rot, ulcers, swim-bladder, dropsy, and other bacterial infections.
- For hatching brine shrimp eggs, use a solution of 6 teaspoonful per 5 litres of water to produce ideal conditions and maintain water temperature at 26°
- Water Conditioning, when setting up a new aquarium, use one teaspoon of salt per 18 litres of water.
- For creating brackish water, use one teaspoon of salt per 18 litres of water.
- Not suitable for use in Marine aquariums.
- Available in 250g, 600g, 1250g tubs and 4kg bulk packs.
- 250g and 600g are supplied in outers of 6, to be sold separately.
- Other sizes are supplied in singles.
- Contains Sodium Chloride.
- For guidance, 1 teaspoonful is approximately 8 grams.
